Tendril Wines
Tony’s liquid resumé: Tendril wines are full-flavored, textural expressions of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Our wines spend a minimum of 16 months in French oak barrels, about twice as long as many wineries in the Willamette Valley. We then age our bottles for 1-5 years before releasing them. We aim to share our wines when they are entering their window of prime drinkability, typically 10-15 years from vintage date.
At Tendril Wine Cellars, winemaking begins with reverence for the vine and culminates in the art of blending. Rooted in Oregon’s Willamette Valley and guided by a “slow wine” philosophy, Tendril approaches each vintage with patience, intention, and an uncompromising commitment to quality. Every decision — from vineyard partnerships to small-lot fermentations and extended élevage — is made with the singular goal of crafting wines that are complete, expressive, and worthy of pride.
Blending is the heart of the brand. Rather than allowing a single lot to dictate direction, Tendril views each component as part of a larger composition. The proprietary names — such as Extrovert, TightRope, C-Note, Pretender, Enchanter, and XL — are more than labels; they are declarations of style. Each name reflects the character and emotional resonance of the wine inside the bottle.
